1. About Jakweb.ch & Zipp.chat

Our Swiss-based company offers different B2B SaaS products via our cloud platform mainly aimed around customer service. So we provide a live chat, as well as a help desk software.
We are in business for many years already, and we have an international B2B client base.

2. Challenges & Objective

Our main challenge is sales - we need to attract more clients, and make them buy our software products and our cloud subscriptions.
So the goal of adding the webtests.com certificate was clear: We wanted our users to be more confident in our software products.
We assumed that especially in the B2B software industry, trust is a huge factor which our enterprise clients consider.

3. Methodology

We ran an A/B test to find out which version works better. One version with certificate, and one version without certificate.
Our hypothesis was that the version with webtests.com certificate will perform better.

4. Implementation

We created an account on webtests.com, and then ran through the verifications.
In total, it took us maybe around 10 minutes.
Then, we added the certificate to our websites: jakweb.ch, and zipp.chat
We wanted the certificate to be visible permanently, so we put it on the bottom left in a floating way. That means when the user scrolls in the browser, the certificate keeps scrolling as well and remains on that fixed position.

5. Results

The results are like this:

  • Without certificate: There were 12,421 visitors in the testing period, and 583 conversions.

  • With certificate: We had 12,380 visitors and 628 conversions during this A/B test. That's an increase in conversion rate of +8.1%. The revenue of the sales increased accordingly, so our ROI was over 1,000%.

6. Conclusion

Adding the webtests.com certificate worked out very well for our business.
Especially enterprise clients care a lot about being trustworthy, and they want to see some kind of proof.

With an increased conversion rate of +8.1% we are more than happy with the achieved results. Most importantly though, our revenue increased the same way as our conversion rate.
